2-Day Daintree Rainforest and Chillagoe Tour

This two-day tour combines two very different sides of Far North Queensland in one booking. On one day, you head into the World Heritage-listed Daintree Rainforest and Cape Tribulation, where the rainforest meets the reef. On the other, you travel inland to see outback scenery including Chillagoe Caves and Granite Gorge. It runs in a small group in custom-built 4WD vehicles, with a local eco-accredited driver-guide and national park fees included. It is a good option if you want to cover a lot without organising separate day trips yourself.

You will book the rainforest tour as your first day, then contact the operator to lock in your outback day, which does not have to be on consecutive days. The rainforest day includes the Daintree and Cape Tribulation, plus morning tea and ice cream. The outback day covers Chillagoe Caves, Granite Gorge and other inland stops, with a guided cave tour and morning tea included. Return transfers are included, although Port Douglas and Northern Beaches pickups cost extra on the outback day. This is not a low-effort sightseeing trip: a moderate fitness level is recommended, and the caves involve steps and uneven ground. Closed-toe shoes and a light jacket or sweater are advised.
