Bruny Island Essential Explorer Day Tour from Hobart

This full-day tour is a straightforward way to see a lot of Bruny Island without sorting out your own transport, ferry timing or sightseeing plan. It includes return ferry fares, South Bruny National Park entry and a guided visit to Cape Bruny Lighthouse, which is the only lighthouse open in Southern Tasmania. Along the way, you’ll stop at key viewpoints, pass through Adventure Bay looking for the island’s white wallaby, and visit several well-known local food producers. Pickup is available from selected Hobart hotels and locations.

You’ll leave from Hobart and head across to Bruny Island by ferry, with commentary from your guide throughout the day. A major stop is Cape Bruny Lighthouse, where there’s time to look through the museum before joining a guided tour and heading up to the balcony for coastal views. The day also includes a climb to Truganini Lookout at The Neck, time at Two Tree Point and a drive through Adventure Bay. Later, there’s free time in Lunawanna to buy lunch at the local cafe, followed by stops at producers including Get Shucked Oysters, Bruny Island Cheese Co., Bruny Island Honey and Bruny Island Chocolate Co.
