Red Centre Journey Tour

This is a half-day sightseeing tour around the Alice Springs region that keeps things easy, with accommodation pick-up and drop-off included. It covers a mix of Central Australian history, landscapes and outback character, including Ewaninga Aboriginal Rock Carvings, Ooraminna Station Homestead, the Drover’s Boy film set, the Old Ghan Museum and the Red Dune Desert Lookout. Entry fees are included, but you will need to buy an NT Parks Pass before the tour.

The tour runs in the morning and is designed as a relaxed introduction to the Red Centre rather than a strenuous day out. After pick-up, you’ll travel between several stops with an experienced guide, with around 45 minutes of the total tour time spent on the road across the full outing. Along the way, you’ll visit the ancient rock carvings at Ewaninga, spend time at Ooraminna Station Homestead, see the Drover’s Boy film set, and stop at the Old Ghan Museum. There’s also a visit to the Red Dune Desert Lookout for wider views over the landscape. At the end, you’ll be dropped back at your accommodation.
