Remote K'gari Day Cruise from Hervey Bay

This full-day boat trip from Hervey Bay is a relaxed way to see the wilder side of K'gari. You’ll spend the day out on the water with chances to snorkel, kayak and swim in clear, sheltered spots, with guides sharing local history and wildlife info along the way. Lunch, morning tea and afternoon tea are included, so it’s an easy all-in day if you want scenery, wildlife and a bit of activity without organising everything yourself.

You’ll head out by boat from Hervey Bay for a full day around K'gari’s remote coastline and waterways. The day typically mixes time on the boat with stops for swimming, snorkelling and kayaking, plus a bushwalk on the dunes. Keep an eye out for dolphins, turtles, sea eagles and dingoes while you’re out there. During whale season, from mid-July to October, there’s also the chance to spot humpback whales in the calm waters off the island, and in some conditions there may be an opportunity to swim with them. Hotel pickup and drop-off are included, and you’ll need to bring sun protection, swimmers and a towel.
