Rottnest Island Fortress Adventure Segway Tour

This guided Segway tour is a more adventurous way to see parts of Rottnest Island beyond the usual main paths. Over 1.5 hours, you’ll roll through bays, beaches and historic defence sites while hearing about the island’s military past and its role in protecting Fremantle Harbour. It’s a good option if you want sightseeing with a bit more movement than a standard walking tour, and you’ll also get the chance to spot Rottnest’s famously friendly quokkas.

You’ll start with rider training, an assessment and safety gear before heading out with your guide. A personal radio system helps you hear commentary as you travel. The route includes Thomsons Bay, the Bickley Battery gun emplacements, Jubilee Hill Observation Post, Paterson Beach, Henrietta Rocks and Kingstown Barracks. Expect a mix of coastal scenery and military history, with stops to take in the views and look around along the way.
