2-Day K'gari 4WD Tag-Along Camping Tour

This is a guided 2-day tag-along trip around K'gari where travellers share the experience of driving a 4WD on the beach and along sandy inland tracks. You follow a lead guide vehicle, so you still get the adventure of self-driving with the structure of an organised tour. The trip focuses on the island’s natural highlights, including lakes, creeks and rainforest, with one night spent at a permanent beachside campsite.

The tour departs from Rainbow Beach and includes return ferry transfers, vehicle fuel, camping equipment, and the required permits. On the island, your group travels in 4WDs behind an experienced lead driver guide who manages the route and takes you to key sights across K'gari. Expect a mix of beach driving, sandy tracks and stops at natural attractions. After a full day out, you’ll stay in twin-share permanent tents at a dingo-proof campsite with toilets, showers and undercover camp kitchens with solar charging. Evenings are set up for a social camp atmosphere with drinks and time around the fire.
