This five-day K'gari trip is a more comfortable, resort-based way to see the island without sorting your own transport or accommodation. The package includes one night before touring and two nights after at Kingfisher Bay Resort on the western side, plus one night at K'gari Beach Resort on 75 Mile Beach. You’ll spend two full days exploring with an expert local guide in an air-conditioned 4WD coach, with national park fees and fuel levies covered. It’s a higher-priced option, but it keeps the planning simple and combines downtime with guided sightseeing.

What to expect

The trip starts from Hervey Bay and includes hotel pickup, which begins roughly two hours before departure and needs to be confirmed at least 48 hours ahead. After your first night at Kingfisher Bay Resort, you’ll head out for two full days of guided touring to see K'gari’s major sights, staying one night on the east coast at K'gari Beach Resort along 75 Mile Beach. After touring, you’ll return to Kingfisher Bay Resort for two more nights, giving you time to enjoy the resort’s bars, restaurants and nature-based activities. Bring zinc sunscreen, a hat and swimwear. A $200 credit card deposit is required at resort check-in for incidentals.
